FACT Alerts U.S. House of Representatives to Common Ethics Violations

Troubled by recent congressional ethics violations, today, the executive director of the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT), Matt Whitaker, sent a letter to House Speaker Paul Ryan and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi alerting them to the potential liability that may arise from House members violating important ethics rules.

Topic areas included: the proper use of social media accounts, dual congressional and campaign employment, Member employment involving fiduciary relationships and the prohibited use of congressional resources for political activity.
